National Hickman

Following the successful launch of the Roofspace ‘I Roof’ roofing system, National Hickman together with its strategic partner Roofspace solutions are requiring an increase in production levels that have resulted in plans to treble production capacity by April 2012 with an extra 56,ooo sqft of factory space in Wolverhampton and an increase in the workforce to 30. In the second half of this year, a new production line will be commissioned at our Scottish division in Glenrothes, enabling Roofspace solutions to supply and install the Roofspace ‘I Roof’ system into Scotland and the north of England more cost effectively.

Capital expenditure on the new production lines will include precision multi-angled cross cuts, dimension saws and assembly jigs. The ‘I Roof’ system provides huge advantages to home builders – complete sections are craned into place bringing significant time savings and Health and Safety benefits over traditional methods of construction on typical 2 1/2 storey units, and at the same time providing living space in the roof to maximise space for home builders and buyers alike, and all this at no extra cost!
